Perth Cardiovascular Institute (Perth Cardio) is a private cardiology service located in Hollywood Private Hospital in Nedlands, Western Australia. Over the last decade Perth Cardio has opened five satellite offices across the Perth metropolitan area, allowing them to accommodate 40-50,000 patient visits per year.

For the doctors and staff of Perth Cardio, efficient and reliable communication is vital. Data and applications must be shared between sites, the mobile workforce must be easily reachable, and the entire network must be secure. Perth Cardio began to notice that all of these factors were being compromised as the organisation grew to include five satellite sites.

Voice communications have been greatly improved, as well. Perth Cardio staff is now able to log onto any telephone within the system, regardless of location. This has led to savings in overheads and a peace of mind generated by a greater ease in communication for Perth Cardio staff and clients.

Overall, Perth Cardio has enjoyed greater productivity thanks to this solution. “We experienced a significant improvement in the service we provide our clients, especially in terms of communication,” says Perth Cardio Director Reza Barzegari. “But the major benefit of the new network is that Perth Cardio can expand without the need for further investment in infrastructure.”
